The Australian Design Alliance (AdA) is calling for the Australian design community to help make the National Design Policy for Australia a reality. AdA has recently launched a campaign on Australian crowd-funding platform Pozible, to raise a minimum of $15,000 towards the proposed policy. The alliance are hoping to use the funds to undertake industry research, influence political drivers, and buff up their communications strategy in order to showcase profile Australian designers. From here, they aim to actively advocate for the Federal Government to embed a national design agenda into all of its government policies, and be linked into Australia’s Innovation Agenda and cultural and urban design policies. The AdA is a peak professional organisation that represents designers from all aspects of the country’s design industry. AdA’s main goal is to promote design productivity, sustainability and innovation across Australia.
